1. I think we've acomplished our first goal, which was to establish a community of math educators from local high schools and colleges to come together to share information and initiatives, promote alignment and common standards, and create a positive environment for dialogue and mutual education.
2. The next goal is find the necessary support to sustain our current efforts on some level.
3. We hope to create a firm alignment with the Riverpoint Partnership and ESD 101 on a collaborative effort. The will and model are there, but time is our current adversary.
4. Real success will come with measurable increases in student success. I think we've been part of the motivation and support for local alignment efforts recently, and hopefully those efforts will bear fruit.

I do think we are creating an opportunity for sustainability. We're maintaining a close connection with the work of the Riverpoint Partnership for Math and Science (RPMS), and hope to form a collaborative effort with them and the local ESD in the next year. Our symposium this year focused on sharing out information on state and local initiatives in math education, collaboratively sharing and creating strategies promoting the student attributes, promoting our high school OutReach program and giving The RiverPoint Partnership an opportunity to share and promote that work. The community-building forum of the symposium was very well received by the participants. Currently we're discussing collaborative efforts with RPMS and the local ESD to use the community and the forum to create Professional Learning Communities within departments and districts that will also include people from post-secondary schools. I also believe the connections established between schools and the positive, informed dialogue being promoted has begun to influence curriculum decisions at the K-12 and post-secondary level.
